Our rub-tolerant coatings for turbochargers help to control the clearance between the housing and the wheel; thus increasing the efficiency of the turbocharger. The rub-tolerant coating also acts as a buffer if incursions between wheel and housing occur as a result of eccentric rotational conditions.
Higher Efficiency and Longer Service Life
In addition, thermal barrier coatings on the turbine housing reduce thermal radiation from the turbocharger. This enables a more compact layout of the engine area.
