While many companies chrome plate their components, a better solution is available using our BALITHERM IONIT OX process. The oxide layer that develops during the process gives excellent corrosion protection in aggressive and corrosive environments like salt water, oil and grease or biodiesel (methyl ester). The high passivity of BALITHERM IONIT OX treated surfaces does not allow contact corrosion with other metals, especially light alloys.
