Do not put off gaining real-world experience! At Oerlikon, you can work as a working student on exciting projects that allow you to show off your abilities.
We are a multinational organization made up of distinctive people from all backgrounds and experiences. We work together to satisfy our customers and make their lives simpler. At Oerlikon, innovations can result from your ideas and voice.
For any age, we are constantly prepared to celebrate curiosity!
We think that engineering is a state of mind as much as a body of knowledge. We, therefore, support educational initiatives that encourage people of all ages to consider careers in manufacturing.
In the competition for highly qualified specialists, Oerlikon has supported numerous students from various scientific disciplines at RWTH Aachen University for years as part of the German scholarship program and accompanying them on their academic path.
Surface solutions and Polymer processing are high-tech and science. As a global leader, we develop sustainable machines and plant solutions. Behind this sophisticated technology are bright minds that turn ideas into innovative solutions. The close dialogue between science and business is a key success factor in this.
At Oerlikon, I gained valuable hands-on experience. As well as contributing to many projects, I create my own. For the bigger picture, everyone plays a significant role. In my own designs, I can let my creativity flow and use my skills and knowledge to contribute. MarCom is a wonderful place to grow and take on challenges.
- Tina Miljkovic, Working student at Oerlikon
I did my internship at Oerlikon in the Design and Development Department. There I could work with actual products and customers. I enjoyed being practice-oriented and taking responsibility as a young and agile team member.
- Philip Wolf, Master Student Mechanical Engineering at ETH Zurich
We have always found materials science to be a fundamental and fascinating field. But what motivates people to study this discipline at university?
To find out, we asked Cristina Mercandetti, a student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich) to explain to us what drives her and how materials scientists work.
We offer various apprenticeship programs at Oerlikon. Our vocational training center in Liechtenstein was founded in 1946 at the same time as the Balzers company. There were no trained employees for these applications at the time, and more than 1500 apprentices have completed one of the courses since then. Many became remarkable professionals and take part in well-known competitions like WorldSkills International and others.
Today, the center also invites individuals for Try-and-see days and one-day practical training, where they can get to know professions and find out which one fascinates them the most.
Apply now and join the collective of extraordinarily enthusiastic people!
