Balzers, Liechtenstein, 8 October 2020 – Oerlikon Balzers, a leading provider of surface solutions, has received Nadcap Merit Status for all the coating technology used in its customer centre Ferrières-en-Brie, France. The Merit Status means a less frequent audit schedule and is “a sign of trust in the ongoing commitment to quality”, according to the Performance Review Institute, which administers Nadcap.
Nadcap, the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program, is a global program within the aerospace industry that validates compliance with industry standards, best practices and customer requirements. The award of Supplier Merit Status allows the Oerlikon Balzers customer centre in Ferrières-en-Brie to extend the reaccreditation audit to 18 months.
“Our centre has been Nadcap certified for 10 years, which alone is reason enough for us to be proud. We are delighted that we have now also received this visible sign of trust from the aerospace industry”, says Gilles Widawski, Head of Oerlikon Balzers France. Celine Maquiaba, Head of Quality France, adds: “We are proud that this centre and its global coating service solutions have been recognised by Nadcap.”
