BALINIT® OPTURA is an innovative TiAlN-based PVD coating specifically designed for high-performance drilling and reaming applications in steel and cast iron. This highly wear-resistant multilayer coating ensures exceptional process reliability and extends tool service life, even under challenging applications such as deep hole drilling.

With reliable performance despite multiple overcoating or recoating cycles, BALINIT® OPTURA reduces tool costs per part and lowers environmental impact. ***Intrinsic stress [GPa] Measured by XRD and/or bending method (Stoney equation). The calculated thermal stress has been substracted.
****Max. service temp. [°C] These are approximate values out of the field. Due to thermodynamic laws there is a dependency of pressure in application.
