BALDIA® VARIA is a versatile CVD coating for cutting tools used on special materials like carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP), graphite, and zirconia ceramics. It delivers stable high performance across a wide range of tool sizes and geometries, ensuring exceptional wear resistance and consistent machining quality.

Thanks to plasma technology, BALDIA® VARIA forms a dense nano-crystalline structure through controlled diamond growth. This ensures a stable, uniform wear indicator, improving durability in both roughing and finishing. Its progressive wear mechanism enables easier monitoring, helping maximize tool usage and reduce sudden failures.

By extending tool life and supporting diverse tool types – from inserts and micro tools to large-diameter cutters – BALDIA® VARIA reduces tooling costs and boosts process stability, ensuring efficient machining of special materials.
