Oerlikon Neumag at CINTE 2010 – All-in-one in Nonwoven Production Equipment

Neumünster, September 29, 2010 – Oerlikon Neumag presents itself at the CINTE Techtextil 2010 from 19th – 21st October in Shanghai with its broad range of solutions covering all main nonwoven production processes such as carding, airlaid, spunbond and meltblown. All exhibition visitors are welcome to visit our booth F77 in Hall W5.

Under one umbrella Oerlikon Neumag’s former brands J&M Nordson, M&J Fibretech, F.O.R. / Fincarde, Autefa, Fehrer and Kortec are combined to offer comprehensive solutions of products and services to the nonwoven industry, everything from original parts to complete turnkey solutions.

Carding

Oerlikon Neumag’s Carding division offers highly innovative machines and equipment for the global nonwoven market.

In China the demand for Airlay products using natural fibers such as Jute, Kenaf and Flax for applications like insulation and automotive has increased. Oerlikon Neumag has proven to be a competent partner installing machines and lines for the production of Airlay applications in China . The successful Fehrer K12 series was enlarged with a modular machine concept offering different levels of opening work.

The need for better material utilization and higher uniformity calls for better tools to ensure a proper profiling in crosslapping. WebMax system for the Autefa crosslappers improves the uniformity of produced webs by a highly sophisticated drive and control concept adaptable for all carding lines.

The new needle pattern design tool "i-point" improves the surface of needled products as well as other major properties of the material. A new software tool enables customized solutions for optimized needle patterns.

Exposing new designs in Airlaid technology

Oerlikon Neumag’s airlaid portfolio packages turnkey lines, a broad range of upgrades and individual plant sections such as standalone airlaid web forming technology and complete dryer systems. Recent improvements cover newly designed dryer and through air oven technology, meeting the needs when using modern raw materials. An additional competence focus is Neumag’s hammermills for pulp defibration, either as standalone units or as complete systems with pulp unwinders.

A broad range in Spunbond

Integrated solutions are offered for a wide range of spunbond applications such as multi- beam lines for standard products or customized lines for advanced nonwovens e.g. microfilaments or bicomponents. To meet various market demands flexibility is a great asset: Oerlikon Neumag’s spunbond lines can process different polymers ranging from PP and PET to PLA, PE and TPU with spinning speeds up to 6000 m/min and a line width starting at 600 mm up to 7000 mm. Bico and core-sheath fibers with a sheath percentage from 5% to 50% can be produced on Oerlikon Neumag plants as well.

Producing perfect uniform Meltblown web

Meltblown standalone or insertion lines are offered for the production of filtration and barrier applications. With Oerlikon Neumag lines, a high variety of polymers such as PP, PET, PBT, PLA , PE , PPS, PC and TPU can be processed for the production of value added meltblown products. The creation of highly efficient filtration or improved barrier media is possible with fine fiber spinning without sacrificing acceptable productivity rates. Rotational spinning elements allow for the varying of web widths up to 45 degrees, resulting in minimal product waste. Accelerated quenching allows for reduced spin distances and hence more uniform web structures.

Advanced project engineering

Oerlikon Neumag as only supplier makes it possible to offer multi-technology lines e.g. combination of different web forming processes like spunbond, carding and airlaid. Strong in engineering projects based on decades of experiences Oerlikon Neumag stands for quality and competence in planning, realizing and optimizing turnkey installations.
