The functional solutions here are some of the many where Oerlikon Metco’s application-tailored methodology has successfully solved the design challenges faced by our customers.

Our surface technologies increase conductivity, provide electrical insulation, improve dielectric strength, provide Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) shielding, and create magnetic surfaces. Depend on our coating solutions to create surfaces with desirable electrical qualities. Electrical properties such as conductivity, inductance, insulation, magnetism, and resistance heating can all be achieved using coatings. These coatings can be applied over very large areas, such as on corona rolls, or locally for sensor applications. Multilayer systems can be used to build electrical components such as fuel cells where anode, cathode, and electrolyte are depicted. Iron-based materials are used to coat aluminum pans enabling them to be used on induction stoves. Specific resistance coatings are applied to heating elements.
