Oerlikon Neumag’s Highlights at TECHTEXTIL and INLEGMASH 2010

Neumünster, March 05, 2010 - Oerlikon Neumag presents at the „Techtextil“ and the “Inlegmash” from the 20th - 22nd April in Moscow, Russia, comprehensive solutions covering BCF and Staple Fiber as well as all main nonwovens production processes such as spunmelt, meltblown, carding and airlaid in the main forum hall, stand FC03 and also in hall 3 booth C17.

BCF carpet yarn plants for every demand

With over 65 percent market share Oerlikon Neumag is the supplier of advanced BCF carpet yarn machines and offers its customers the broadest product portfolio in the market. The S3 is a turnkey production plant, which is designed for small to medium production batches and also offers the newcomer an ideal basis for a successful production of BCF carpet yarn from the start.
The S5 is a modular plant system and can be configured in accordance with the clients individual needs. In addition, it covers the entire width of all-day imaginable carpet yarn specifications at maximum production efficiency. But even with the new Sytec One, Oerlikon Neumag demonstrates their technological performance. With the change to single thread positions they achieved increased flexibility, better quality, while up to 40 percent higher productivity than previously possible.

Synthetic staple fibers production solutions

Oerlikon Neumag offers complete plants for the production of synthetic staple fibers. They vary from high flexible 1-step plants for smaller scale production up to 2-step plants with production capacities from 10 tons/day for speciality lines to 250 tons/day for commodity jumbo lines.

The latest development is a new concept for staple fiber production which is applicable for production lines from 100 up to 400 tons per day. With this concept, the production costs per kilogram of produced fibers as well as the investment costs per ton of capacity can be significantly reduced. However, the well-known robustness of the Oerlikon Neumag equipment will remain unchanged. In addition to the cost-related and productivity advantages, it is possible to increase the quality of the produced staple fibers. These benefits for the customers have been realized due to a couple of new technical solutions and designs like a new spinning system for improved spun yarn qualities, a completely new fiber draw technology for saving energy costs as well as an advanced crimping system for more crimp uniformity.

Carding lines for needle punched or hydroentangled products

A further highlight will be the carding technology with a series of optimizations of the complete carding process from bale opening up to winding for a couple of technical applications like filtration, geotextiles, roofing, automotive headliners or acoustic materials. After further improvements on components like the modular card system last year, Oerlikon Neumag will present the brand new Stylus needle loom generation, which enables conventional and elliptical needling on one machine. This new concept combines modern design and latest technology following Fehrer’s tradition of high quality and reliability.

Meltblown lines for fine fiber barrier fabrics and filtration

Meltblown systems from Oerlikon Neumag guarantee a wide variety of reliable, high-quality meltblown fabrics. The latest developments include improvements of the air and fluid management systems resulting in superior filament and fabric characteristics. Fibers from sub-micron to 15+ micron within webs from <5gsm to 100gsm plus can be produced.

Spunmelt solutions for bicomponents and fine denier fibers
Oerlikon Neumag presents not only multi-beam spunmelt lines for the production of standard nonwovens products but also technological solutions for a highly efficient production of advanced nonwovens, e.g. from microfilaments or bicomponents.
