Multi-level support for young Alpine skiing talents
Swiss-Ski and OC Oerlikon Corporation AG, Pfäffikon, today signed an agreement to provide support for the next three years for young Alpine skiing talents. The multi-faceted program ranges from support for the academy in Brig and the National Training Centres in Engelberg, Davos and Brig, to targeted financing of races for promising skiers right through to specific individual development of talented youngsters. The multi-level program was developed together with Pirmin Zurbriggen, President of Ski Valais, and the regional associations.
Duri Bezzola, President of Swiss-Ski: „With Oerlikon, ski sport will be supported by a local, traditional company. Together we shall be able to further promising Swiss skiers even more consistently."
Dr. Uwe Krüger, CEO of Oerlikon: „With a total investment of approximately one million Swiss francs, our clear message is that we want to give talented young skiers the chance to make careful, steady progress towards world-class."
