Adrian Cojocaru appointed CHRO of Oerlikon - Andreas Dill appointed Segment CEO Advanced Technologies
Pfäffikon SZ, August 27, 2010 - Oerlikon complements its executive management on Corporate and Segment level. The experienced manager Adrian Cojocaru was appointed Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) bringing the Executive Committee to its full complement. The 46-year-old Romanian national will take up his position on December 1, 2010. In parallel Andreas Dill was appointed Segment CEO Advanced Technologies with immediate effect. "With these appointments we further enhance our top management," states Michael Buscher, CEO of Oerlikon.
Adrian Cojocaru has more than 20 years of professional experience. In his current position he serves as Regional Chief Human Resources Officer Middle East & Africa for LG Electronics, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Prior to this, Cojocaru held management functions at Reader's Digest (UK), Mars Inc. (Central Europe and UK), Unilever (Romania, Netherlands, USA) and Coca-Cola (Romania), among others. In the course of his career he successfully carried out a wide range of HR and organization development projects. Adrian Cojocaru graduated as mechanical engineer from the Faculty of Engineering & Management of Technological Systems of the Polytechnic University in Bucharest, Romania and continued his studies in the UK, where he attended the M.S. in Organizational Consulting at the Ashridge Business School. "With his exceptional skill set Adrian Cojocaru is well suited to bring human resources of Oerlikon to a new performance level and in doing so, contributing to the sustainable development of the company," says CEO Buscher.
Additionally Andreas Dill was appointed Segment CEO of Advanced Technologies. Since joining the company in 1998, Andreas Dill has served the company in a succession of senior management positions. In July 2007 he took over responsibility for the Business Unit Systems which he has since realigned successfully. Prior to joining Oerlikon, he held several management positions for the Swiss company Zevatech AG ranging from Project Manager to General Manager. Andreas Dill holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the ETH Zurich, Switzerland. In his new role he will ensure the ongoing successful development of our Advanced Technologies business," says CEO Buscher.
