Supplier Quality Engineer d/f/m

For our location in Balzers we are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer (d/f/m).

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor product development at external suppliers in the product development process, as well as support of suppliers in the production stage of critical supplies and its processes
  • Support first article inspections in close collaboration with Procurement, Engineering and Project Mgmt.
  • Involve or lead supplier development initiatives together with internal and external stakeholders
  • Problem analysis and improvement activities of supplier-related quality issues (recurring/ non-recurring)
  • Initiate, conduct and follow-up of local/ regional/ global supplier audits
  • Support or lead of colleagues in the event of supplier complaints/ escalations
  • Assistance in the development of a global supplier management system
  • Continuous improvement and harmonization of SAP R/3 reports, forms and processes

Your Profile

  • At least 3 years of experience in Quality, Engineering and/ or Manufacturing (Automotive Industry)
  • Deep knowledge of supplier quality & development, supply chain systems, tools and process
  • Deep knowledge in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and verify supplier manufacturing processes as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • 3rd Party Process Auditor VDA6.3 and 1st and 2nd Party IATF 16949 Auditor
  • Experience with ISO14001, Lean Manufacturing, Process and 6 Sigma Methodologies
  • Ability to work in a global matrix organization (cross-BU, cross-country, cross-function)
  • Hands on mentality, solution focused, team player
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Fluent in English and German, additional languages are a plus
  • Skilled in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Power Point), ERP SAP R/3
  • Willing to travel regularly up to 70%
