General Ledger Clerk (m/f)

We are looking for a Junior General Ledger (GL) Accountant for a newly established Finance Shared Service Center based in Warsaw, Poland. You will be managing the execution and all tasks, which are related to GL. Among others you will conduct journal entries, do the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, assist in month-end closing or prepare the VAT and intrastate declarations. Furthermore, you will have to maintain internal and external documents.


  • Prepare and book journal entries for GL 
  • Assist in processing monthly expense variance analysis, quarterly balance sheet and P&L fluctuation analysis 
  • Assist in performance of tax activities, VAT statements and intrastate reporting 
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts (GL accounts incl. inventory and cash management) on monthly and quarterly basis 
  • Assist in month/quarter and year end closing report and thereby have the possibility to develop your knowledge on different accounting standards 
  • Manage and update internal processes and manuals (e.g. internal control system) 
  • Maintenance of relevant documents for internal and external audit 
  • Support Legal Entities and HQ on ad-hoc tasks 
  • Perform other tasks related to the GL process

We expect

  • University degree in Finance and Accounting or Business Administration preferable 
  • Minimum 1 year work experience in a similar role 
  • Knowledge of SAP and Navision Higgs preferable 
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel required) 
  • Attention to detail and great organization skills 
  • Solution-oriented with strong analytical skills 
  • Willingness to work abroad for extended periods 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team 
  • Good knowledge of English (business fluent level); any additional languages are appreciate
