Balzers, Liechtenstein / Pune, India, 3 November 2020 – Oerlikon Balzers, a leading supplier of surface solutions for the metal and plastics processing industry, has received GreenCo Silver Certification from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and has been awarded first prize (Platinum) in the Quality Excellence competition organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). These awards recognise Oerlikon Balzers’ contribution towards an ecologically sustainable business model and to improving the customer experience by providing quality goods and services in India.
On 12 October Oerlikon Balzers’ customer centre in Pune achieved Silver Certification under the GreenCo (Green Company Rating) System, which is awarded by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and lasts for three years. Oerlikon Balzers management is committed to contributing to a “Better Life for the Future” and decided to obtain GreenCo certification as part of its sustainability initiative. The company has introduced a Green Company Rating System for this purpose, and a system assessment was carried out by the CII team in September 2020. The highly detailed and in-depth evaluation process included an assessment, site audits and a final analysis and review by a jury panel.
Oerlikon Balzers Coating India Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore won the Platinum prize in the 8th FICCI Quality Excellence Awards on 15 October, organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). The award is given to businesses in recognition of their work in developing best practices and innovative solutions for improving quality and quality systems.
