Grand Opening Bielefeld Customer Centre 2018 Opening of Europe´s largest coating centre for tools.

On 18 April 2018, coating specialist Oerlikon Balzers opened its new plant in Bielefeld with a two-day event attended by guests – both customers and experts – from the areas of politics and the economy. The coating centre has a floor space of 6,000 square metres with cutting edge surface technologies for machining, forming and plastics processing.
The new coating centre in Bielefeld is the largest in Europe for the coating of tools. The inauguration was celebrated with customers, political and media representatives as well as leading experts with engaging lectures. This significant investment in the Bielefeld customer centre confirms the importance of the German market and the company’s growth strategy.
