Oerlikon Balzers has been pioneering coating technology since 1946. Twenty years ago we were once again the pioneers setting up our own transport service to pick up and drop tools to our customers. This service is an important pillar in our customer service. As for all our processes, we are constantly looking for opportunities for improvement: in 2013 we increased the collection frequencies, and today we have upgraded our Collection Vans to 6. Oerlikon Balzers stands for Optimum Service and by offering high frequency of collections, we can respond to the individual needs of our customers. Short lead times in dealing with the tools play an important role: the faster the tools are returned to the customer, the faster they can be reinserted into the production line again.
