Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Metals (PBF-LB), also known as Selective Laser Melting (SLM), and Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-EB), also known as EBM is a family of powder based additive manufacturing processes. It can manufacture complex metal prototypes or series parts rapidly and without any tooling.

Components manufactured by PBF can be heat treated, welded and reworked with typical processing methods.

Materials & Reference Properties


  • Thermally curable copper alloy
  • Combination of electrical and thermal conductivity accompanied by high stiffness at elevated temperatures
  • High corrosion resistance and is very well suited for wear and sliding applications
  • CuNi2SiCr fulfills the requirements of a conductive contact material in electrical engineering and for electrodes in welding
  • Used for tooling
