AM Polymer

Oerlikon AM offers two additive manufacturing technologies for polymers.

Laser Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB/P) of Polymers, also known as Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), is a powder based additive production process to manufacture plastic prototypes or series parts. The CLIP technology (continuous liquid interface production) belongs to the AM Process category of Vat Photopolymerization (VPP). It is an innovative technology in which components are made by the hardening of a liquid polymer selectively exposed to ultraviolet light from a Digital Light Processing projector. The process can be considered continuous and exceptionally short build times are achieved.
