Repair and Remanufacturing in Our Shops
Our aim is to ensure that your equipment will be back in working order as quickly as possible.
So we regularly check demand, locations and processes, evaluate trends and expand our worldwide network as needed. Today Leybold offers one of the most far-reaching service networks in the vacuum-technology world. In the forevacuum realm we now provide a nearly full line of services at all our locations. For our smaller remanufacturing locations we will send certain products e.g. Turbo Molecular Pumps to regional centers.
To ensure the highest possible level of reliability and thoroughness in remanufacturing we proceed in 3 steps:
- Step 1: we carefully clean and dismantle the vacuum components, noting any signs of wear or defects.
- Step 2: we replace with genuine Leybold parts any that we find to be defective or in danger of failing in the foreseeable future.
- Step 3: After the pump has been reassembled, it is subjected to various tests like those used in series production, with the result that you get back a reconditioned product as good as new.
Naturally, our worldwide service shops are tied into our internal quality system and transmit to that system all information about worn or defective items.
Through our regular training and audits we ensure, for instance, that all safety regulations are adhered to and that all work is done by properly trained personnel and in accordance with the latest standards and requirements.
